Purple was decided as the traditional home jersey color due to no other club in the league wearing purple
Gold and sky blue were decided as secondary colors due to the brick colors of the historic Cranston Street Armory

Influenced by being nicknamed "The Rooks," PAFC on the field tends to give more opportunity to younger players who, as rooks do in chess, can cover more ground late in the game to amplify their strengths
